Death...Many people fear it, most of everyone fears it. Some welcome it, and some just come into so many chances with it. How many near death incounters have you guys had? 2? 4? 5?


My parents have had 10....

This last encounter was with my mother (On November 9, 2004. This week) ...She's comming home from the Yukon where myparents own a freaking $500, 000 buisness (If they ever wanted to see it, thats how much it would be, or even more.) She's got a 2 1/2 day drive with my 2nd mother, Emily (She's a Bahamian, and came down in 97' and took care of my little sister andm yself for 6 years of our lives. Making her practically my 2nd mother), my dog, and 2 cats. My moms driver her 2004 Van towing a boat behind her and emily is just driving her 2002 SunFire. Icy Roads, Wild Animals, Bad weather, and Snow. These all DO NOT make a GOOD combination..... >.<

ESPECIALLY stupid animals like Moose....

Anyways.....My mom's driving in pitch black, towing this boat of ours, and out comes a moose and what does it do? Does it keep on walking like she hoped it would? NOOOO! It STOPS, RIGHT in her path. She tried breaking but she wasn't early enough....She held the dog, and both ducked....
I am seriously Thanking the Lord right now. Because without him, I wouldn't have a mother....Our family, and my mother was lucky. She took control, before she rolled off either side of the highway where on both sides were ditches ready for her...She could have been killed if the moose was a full grown moose, or even if she hadn't ducked in time. Or if she had rolled off that highway with that boart of ours behind her...
When I called dad the next night to ask why my mom hadn't called me at work on tueasday (the night that it happened), and as soon as he told me, I was in tears. I was so shocked and so un-prepared for it all....Death can come for us at any time or day...I haven't heard from my mother yet, but I will hopefully see her soon. Not much damage was done to the Van (Just the Winshiled) that she could get going later the next day, so she might be home sometime this weekend. I truly pray she's alright on that highway.

People keep telling me to be happy she was seriously injured or anything....I AM, but the thing is....She's still on that highway...I can't stop worring untill she home, safety.
